In addition, those attending the event in a Star Wars costume can participate in a costume contest with the chance to win prizes donated by Astro-Zombies, the #1 comic store in Albuquerque. The costume contest will be divided between different age categories (up to 12, 13 to 18, and 19 and older).

The Loma Colorado Main Library is located at 755 Loma Colorado Blvd. For more information about this program, including the complete activity schedule, please visit the library’s Web site, http://www.riorancholibraries.org. Star Wars Fest 2 is coordinated and organized by the city of Rio Rancho’s Library and Information Services Division with funding support provided by the Friends of the Library of Rio Rancho, Inc. Last year’s inaugural Star Wars Fest at the Loma Colorado Main Library attracted more than 400.

The 501st and Rebel legions are all-volunteer organizations that seek to promote interest in Star Wars through the building and wearing of quality costumes and by supporting their local communities through costumed charity and volunteer work.
